    Hi ,
How do I go about getting a ing bank acccount, I’ve tried looking for forms or a English speaking phone line and have drawn a blank. I liked your article and that’s what made me try to contact them, or does it have to be when I’m in Spain in person, I thought with a on line account I could do it from England.
Anyway any advice would be welcome.

    Regards Graham

      Hello Graham,
Actually we have also encountered several issues when trying to opening an ING bank account due to their policies. Are you a resident?

        Hello Carolin.

Good choice, however ING doesn’t provide English support yet I think, so it is rather for expatriates who speak Spanish and/or do not mind to have an online bank with English access.

    Hi Javier
I am planning to buy a property in Spain within the next 6 months and need to sort out a small mortgage, I already bank with Santander in the Uk and wondered if this would be one of your top banks to go to when seeking a mortgage? Do you know what I would need to do initially to get started with inquiring about a mortgage.?

      Hello Debra,
ING is also the best one for mortgates, I must say (and please notice we do not have any partnership or whatsoever with any bank. Basically, the best banks for mortgages should be evaluated according to:

The interest rate applied to them
        The return period
The commissions that the entity requires
The possible accessory linkages (direct debit of accounts and receipts, types of insurance that entails)

Besides, you can study the different options and then open a bank account if wanted.

      Hello Janice,

We recommend to use a transfer agency to avoid more expenses, commissions and bad exchange rates. You may try Currencies Direct and say you were recommended by Javier Rodríguez (Expat Agency).

At any event, you will need to open a bank account in Spain first.

      I hope it helps.
