If only one spouse is able to make a €500,000 investment (real estate), they are the main applicants and the partner be the “accompanying family member”. If both spouses can invest €500,000 each, then they can both apply as main applicants for the Golden Visa. The Regime of the Separation of Assets is often a problem to apply for the Golden Visa in Spain. Another option would be updating your marriage settlements in Spain, if the matrimonial legislation in your country allows that.

Economic assets: Having monthly incomes or savings according to the Spanish public income index (IPREM*) as follows:

– 100% of the IPREM* for each family member

About RENEWALS:

Renewals are for 5 years. And you will not need to stay in Spain for 6 consecutive months per year, in comparison to the rest of visas. You will just need to stay in Spain once over the duration of your golden visa or equivalent residence permit .
